Long Buckby Motors was established in 1923 and consisted of a repair workshop and petrol station in a small village. Since its modest beginnings, through various owners, Long Buckby Motors has grown considerably over the years, but still retains the original values of providing quality and customer service.

In 1988 the business was taken over by John Bass, who is a qualified motor vehicle technician. With extensive experience in the motor trade, John heads up a team of dedicated staff.

In 2002, the lease expired on the premises in Long Buckby, so a new purpose built facility was acquired in the nearby market town of Daventry.  The site stands on over an acre of ground, in the Browns Road development park, we feel we are ideally positioned to meet the future requirements of our customers.

During the late 80s and 90s, as well as traditional sales, we saw an increase in the demand for a vehicle locating service (or as we call it, sourcing vehicles), to meet individual requirements.  As the demand for this service increased, so did our network of contacts and suppliers. With today’s demanding lifestyles, people are finding our services more convenient than the traditional methods of finding the right vehicle. A significant advantage of this service is that as we do not have to stock a particular vehicle, we do not have to pass on expensive charges, i.e., bank charges, depreciation charges and repetitive valeting charges to you, the customer.

In 2016 Long Buckby Motors has been renamed Long Buckby Motors Car Sales which is still owned and managed by John Bass  who has over 30 years experience in the motor trade and has a dedicated team whose number one priority is customer service.
